The problem with Pride (like Black History Month) is that a fair sum of the money for events comes from the taxpayer, even down to stupid virtue signalling like multi-coloured pedestrian crossings, which self evidently cost more to create than black and white ones. I'm all for people doing what they wish within the law but not to expect the state to pay for it.The Spectator writer Douglas Murray, who is himself gay, expresses much the same sentiment as Rosco, though more eloquently and at greater length (https://www.spectator.co.uk/article/pride-comes-before-a-fall/).
