Noble sentiments Philippa but TfL has a tin ear when it comes to accessibility to its services. A case in point is Northfields station where a campaign to install a lift has been rebuffed for years. The last move saw TfL tell campaigners that feasibility study would cost £250,000 but they would have to fund it themselves. The obsession is with cycling, where the money tree seems to be ever fruitful for more me more outlandish infrastructure across London. Current policies are discriminatory and probably illegal but, as the saying goes, every journey matters. Unless you are disabled, elderly, pregnant or pushing a buggy.
