Certainly. It's the observation that the gap between perceived and actual knowledge of a particular subject is, on average, greater among those with the least knowledge of that subject.To unpack that, it does not mean that the people with the least knowledge think they know the most. They actually think they know less than the people who know most, it's that the gap between actual and perceived knowledge is greater among the least knowledge (ie you don't know enough to know how much you don't know). DK also only applies to knowledge in particular fields, not to general intelligence. For example, your misinterpretation of DK is exactly what DK would predict from someone who doesn't understand it very well, but it is not possible to draw any conclusions about your general level of intelligence from this. And DK is, of course, an average gap between perceived and actual knowledge, and so is not true for every individual. You're welcome!
