Mark, I have had a passing yet continuous interset in planning in Ealing, since 2013. It started when me and my brother had new neighbours move in, not immediately. They did not introduce themselves, but they wanted to knock down the shared boundary wall, as part of a major refurbishment of the house they had bought. Luckily, for us Ealing Council were still sending out Planning Notification Letters. The council stopped this in 2015. This was and still is change for the worse, not keeping people informed. Luckily, I am still able bodied, and not a frail lone old pensioner. By the way, the shared boundary wall was saved. But seeing how the Planning Committee Meetings are increasingly becoming more closed, as outlined in my earlier post, all under Labour rule does not inspire much confidence in them.Based on my experience, good luck and all the best, if you have to deal with Ealing Planning Department, as well as Ealing Democratic Services in this context.
