GP surgeries.

Times are difficult. Surgeries surely benefit in some ways by employing a GP clinical pharmacist. It is however unfortunate when such a person lies about care of a vulnerable person to a relative and refuses to be accountable for their lies. The person in the unfortunate case I am aware of has used her position to directly cause harm when there is a vulnerable life at stake. Doctors at this failing practice back up the lying pharmacist trying to cover their backs. I'm just trying to help a struggling person. They can then hide behind patient confidentiality. Some local surgeries need to go.

This does and is happening in many practices as well has the huge turnover in nurses and some staff.Complaint procedure is difficult slow and like planning, you have to be a virtual lawyer and fully au fait with terms and procedures to make any kind of significant complaint.This is where a good local paper used to be the most effective tool.so I agree, raising this is valid but naming and shaming cannot be done. If though others read this and have or know of some who are experiencing the same then that may bring about a collective of patients who can make a more united complaint and move things forward.

Susan - I think you're completely correct about this.  Perhaps this sort of post simply needs to be recognised as someone venting and no-one needs to reply to it?I get a bit frustrated when people use forums to "pretend" to make a point to someone in authority - e.g. a councillor - when it would be just as easy to send an email to a councillor but I guess it takes all sorts?

As with most things when you're ordinary people, if you go the "proper" route it's designed by The System to stall you endlessly and you'll get nowhere.This seems VERY serious, if there's confidence in the case and the wherewithall then go straight to legal, there are Legal Practices specialise in this sort of stuff.

Well no I disagree. It would be unacceptable to name the surgery or name staff members but it may tweak a memory in someone else which would be helpful. What do you want? Specifics of details in patients notes and lies recorded accurately reproduced? Perhaps you would like information about how a vulnerable life has been seriously affected?

While you are clearly upset, this sort of posting helps nobody. Very vague allegations against an unnamed practice: what are we supposed to do with those?

Complain, as these are serious alegations, to both the Primary Care Network and the Care Quality Commission.
