That's very impressive although interestingly your surname seems to be one which originates from the north of England so, at some point, London natives probably regarded your ancestors as interlopers. London, like any dynamic port city, will always have had a largely transient population with groups of people from all over the world. Those that can go back several generations will always have been the exception rather than the rule.
