The "parking arrangements" cannot so easily be brushed aside. We are now to pay £1 per hour to park in the car park. This, in effect, is a tax of £365+ pa on dog walkers who, like me, walk my dog in the park every day. Rather than come to the park to relax, enjoy leisure activities and unwind, families and others will have to keep an eye on how long they spend in the park as the parking fee goes up hour after hour. There are few activities now which do not cost money. Going to our parks used to be one of them. Why on earth can there not be an annual parking permit? Or a reduced rate for senior citizens? It is so badly thought-out and many people now who need to come by car will simply not come. What a great shame.
