ceo clements and our money
open email sent to ceo clements:Dear Mr Clements,You were here before. You left with £74000. This expenditure has never been explained. If you resigned, you were due nothing. The only circumstance that could justify this is if the Council had failed in its obligations to you. Was that the case? If so, the evidence. If not, what was? What has occurred is the more suspicious because the Council did not appoint a new CEO; it appointed a temporary one (Martin). I had dealings with him: he did nothing to justify any payment he received. Another dubious use of council-tax payers’ money. The effect of this was to keep the post of CEO open – for you. What is going on? Do you “have something” on Ealing Council that is compelling them to act in this way. What has happened, all the circumstances considered, appears to be the criminal offence of the misuse of public funds. You are the beneficiary. The people of Ealing the victims. Please respond and make yourself accountable as is your obligation under the Seven Principles of Public Life. Andrew Farmer
