Car charging points

The clowns at the PRE are at it again. In my road on the Brentham estate they are looking to put in four bays, two for charging cars and the others presumably because they can. Anyone who knows the area will tell you that we have no garages or drives to park in so it has to be on the road. As there aren't going to be any other points on the estate, it will be very clogged with cars looking for a charge. The yellow plastic signs they are supposed to put up on lamp posts (forget writing to every resident) are not there of course and objections have to be in by 7th November. Anyone like to put up their hand and say they voted these bum wipers in?

Spot on Mr Havelock, as usual. We have no say, we are governed locally by a bunch of Communists.And "Anyone like to put up their hand and say they voted these bum wipers in?" is something I have asked on these forums many times. No-one ever puts their hand in the air, funny that? To be fair, there are some Labour Ward Councillors who actually DO their job, Dan Crawford being one, in my experience.  I'm sure the few, decent Labour Ward Councillors are appalled by their Council "Bosses" but of course there is very little they can do about their shady shenanigans.

They know it is only affordable to the eco conscious higher income groups who pontificate and advocate one thing but do the opposite.It's divide and rule and people have sleepwalked into it whilst believing they have a say.

They don’t need to put charging points in at all. The LCC who dictate transport policy in London have decreed that we should be ‘freed from the tyranny of the private car’. So why bother with charging points?One presumes there will be the inevitable exceptions for the great and the good.
