I'm having a drawing framed by a shop in Bond Street. Their prices seem to be large but what would I know. Does anyone have any recommendations for a similar service in Ealing that they have used?

LOOKIN GLASS almost opposite Twyford Avenue have done work for me. They add VAT onto the cost though.

Framing is quite expensive but also quite a skill to do well and properly.Bleach free mounting card and fixings, non reflective glass or UV safe polycarbonate is expensive. But the raw materials - especially those to do the job properly and to protect the work have gone from expensive to sky high.A friend of mine who dose this for a living says that the cost of a proper frame and mounting often exceeds the value of the art or print itself.

Depends what material you are talking about of course but if it’s wood, the price for wood has gone through the roof this past year.

I can't recommend anywhere I'm afraid but I do know that I nearly fell over backwards after asking for a quote from a shop in St Margaret's to frame a couple of photos recently.I left the shop mumbling about having to think about it.I have used the very same business on several previous occasions in the last decade and their prices seem to have all but quadrupled all of a sudden.(To date my photos remain unframed...)
