Radio Programme: In Town Tonight?

I am writing about an art teacher Miss Kathleen M Claxton from Ealing. She was also a freelance artist for the Whitbread Brewery in Kent, painting a large number of pub signs.She was featured in the BBC radio programme, In Town Tonight. The show was on air between 1933-1960. I am not sure when Miss Claxton, later Mrs Gordon Roper was featured on radio.My interest is that among the many, she produced a pub sign in Rainham Kent for the Belisha Beacon public house. Seeking extra detail on Miss Roper, to make sure my facts are correct. The feature will be used in the magazine, Bygone Kent.Grateful for any help please?   Thank you.

Typical, just as I posted I thought that the Lindon Metropolitan Archives may hold records and indeed they do. If you search Whitbread London Metropolitan Archives there are results and contact details.

Good luck, the problem is that Whitbread no longer operate pubs so archives may be long buried. If I have any other thoughts I'll post.

A futher thought is that as much of her work appeared to be for Whitbread perhaps their archivists have more details.
