B/H Monday Sept 19th. Refuse/recycling collection.

Ealing Council website is unclear, it states that Monday 19th will have no collections, but moved to Tues 20th.  Does that imply that all subsequent days' collections have moved one day forward?

It was obviously a sudden change to plans.  Although I expected it to be next day (and missing it is not a big deal to us) I would have liked to have found confirmation more quickly.  Possibly others will have found so many closed roads on the day of the HM's funeral more inconvenient.  The numbers of worldwide royalty and heads of state arriving and needing to move securely in, out and around the area together with local dignitaries, police and troops etc was incredible.  We just didn't try.

Yet again the assumption that everyone spends all their time online or glued to a smartphone.Which in some parts of Ealing seems to be the case.But in the real world most people have things to actually do

Not enough info was it?  And not clear enough.  They really ought to test drive their websites and info.I think when they referred everyone to looking up their address for their collection dates was misleading.  It gave the impression that there would be more up to date info on the change when in fact all it was was the regular info.That collection day info for each home is so clunky they put changes including Christmas and New Year elsewhere.It is good when they use the banner across the front of the website.  This time you had to search for the heading News and Events on the front page and click on that and ignore the nice easy to see bright green box labelled Rubbish & Recycling further up the page.  That would be just too logical!
