TfL cannot be believed on anything. It's all heavily manipulated and sadly has been since the days of Bob Kiley not so much him as the recruitment process going on under the radar and creating a gravy train culture of executives who pretty much mirror the culture within councils and Authorities. An awful lot of pretty incompetent and careerist types and the ables and capable pushed aside and kept there.TfL has since become a juggernaut with no air brakes.Highly politicised, staffed by far too many with very poor knowledge of the transport systems and drifting way off their remit.Lost focus on it's core. Buses, and Trains. Public Transport. and now obsessed with all sort of issues which have cost £££££££Millions in poor decisions and procurement.A Bus fleet which is now very new, but very mixed, and reduced infrastructure to the point it is unsupportable and almost unviable. The list is endless and I have written about this many many times over the years. The amount of executives and politicians who have warned me off daring to criticise says it all. But those closer and reliant own their contracts know but have to keep schutm. As for Andrew Gilligan. Dubious reporting over the Blair Iraq/ Afghanistan issue,Supported keeping Bus Conductors and Anti Ken Livingstone. The goes to the Evening Standard and then becomes a Born Again anti Bus pro cyclist. But look at the £££££s he's collected along the route.Utter hypocrite.
