... that has gone completely unchallenged by any opposition.  Which just underlines the pitiful state of this country' inept and morally corrupt methods of management.Shaping Ealing.Another leaflet. Bereft of information and contact points.This is clearly open to only those who have an up to date smartphone.It is only open online to those who willingly accept ALL cookies.Read the terms.  These way beyond most online cookie intrusions.There is no offline form of participation.The claim on the flyer is completely contradictory. " We're encouraging ALL residents, businesses and others to get involved"Who, exactly are others?  Lobby groups? Property developers? PR companies, Activist groups all pre briefed on what to input?This needs to be clarified.Just how many council tax paying residents who are not online or in possession of the latest technology are excluded?It's already known that a very significant proportion of residents in most demographic groups are not fully internet and online savvy or have safe access.Cover restrictions revealed to volunteers just how widespread this is. Not that that made any impact with this council who have not really listened at all to any non council volunteer groups except the ones they fund. Who dare not criticise for obvious reasons.How can a local authority that is supposed to uphold democracy and equality engage a survey company that wants complete control and access without choice?Not even Government or security establishments do that.So who exactly is responsible for this and why is their name not anywhere to be found?It is shameful.  Just another form of discrimination and deception.Worst of all is why any respectable opposition party is not asking this and highlighting this abuse and debacle in election campaigns?That is equally shameful.

Have a look in Ealing Gazette , paper copy - Weds April 6th.Great letter about Chiswick LTNs from a Shafick Emmanbokus.The lies from Hounslow Council, Curran etc.Where Sadiq James, this Julie Carter woman, that councillor banging on how he would listen & answer??Yeah, pigs might fly, all our friends until the vote, then nothing

Residents were imposed with a longer term plan that was not made public or consulted.  Nor in any manifesto.And a closed cabinet presentation of a document relating to Loveday road as an LTN penned by Lucy Taylor.( Which was removed from the Public Domain pretty hastily after the backlash.)There was a closed consultation the previous December with invited residents and vested interest groups using a part of West Ealing ( which did not become an LTN.

Yes it is "just a survey"But how would you feel to be excluded from such a survey?How would you feel to be denied a say? Whilst the organisation responsible for the survey states the complete opposite about total inclusiveness?And as has been pointed out. These loaded surveys give the answers policy makers and associates want and deny a true picture.And that's OK ?

The problem is that the responses will, from experience, be sliced and diced to deliver exactly the result that was wanted without wasting money on 'lip service democracy'.

Yes you're right Mark Evans. There are people on this forum who seem to spend their every  waking hour picking holes in everything that Ealing Council does and Lord knows they're far from criticism but suggesting people give their opinions in a survey and calling it divisive and discriminatory  because it is done by smart phone when at the last count 84% of the UK population owned a smart phone is quite a stretch

So last night my Daughter tried this via the scan access on her new phone.On some of the questions ( which are incredibly infantile and pigeonholing. The rather novel smiley face relocates itself to a different position that she selected as she clicked to go to the next question.Needless to say at the end there is no means to review your answers.No point of contact and operated by yet another one of these very dubious companies with no responsibility or regulation. Favoured by Developers, Councils and Government.Notably too you can either live in a part of the Borough or work in a part of the borough, but not both.So poor is this survey that it will create a completely false impressioQuestion is are they manipulating people's input?  And how can that be inspected and checked?It appears the person behind this is the current leader of the Council.Does not give him very much credibility does it?

Re. 'Shaping Ealing'.Here's a novel idea, how about 'shaping Ealing' by cleaning the streets and clearing the borough's blocked gutter gullies/drains?
