Gurnell consultation, starting Cllr Manro!
Use the link below to have your say in the future of Gurnell Leisure Centre, which has now been closed for two years. Have no doubt Ealing Council still wants to build lots of flats on the site, it’s a crucial component of its business model for its development subsidiary Broadway Living. You’ll see a nice video of Cllr Manro as well.Don’t be swayed by the scaremongering about tax rises or borrowing. Our council has already got us on the hook for a £400m loan for Broadway Living to find developments like Perceval House. The length of the loan, 50 years, is longer than the expected lifespan of the buildings they sling up!Oh and FYI. Gurnell is on Metropolitan Open Land which shouldn’t be built on. It’s also on the River Brent flood plain and thus not really suitable for housing.https://www.givemyview.com/gurnell?utm_campaign=Around+Ealing+Extra_%23119_24+March+2022&utm_source=emailCampaign&utm_medium=email
