Electric train from West Ealing to Greenford

It's good that ths is being promoted and it should help the climate change cause. But it's important to note that simply using an electic vehicle (car, bus, train or aircraft) does not make it zero or low carbon. You have to 'de-carbonise' the national grid (or whatever your electicity source is) to gain the real benefits.

I've not seen a single word quoted from Cllr. Costigan that has not been from a prompt sheet that bears an uncanny word for word resemblance to a TfL guidance sheet for councillors.

Ealing, notably Deirdre Costigan, need to be able to claim some form of victory giving they're presiding over increased pollution by forcing traffic to queue unnecessarily with their supposed traffic mitigation measures.

Usual claims by Ealing Council that they brought this about.Not actually true. GWR had to find an urban main line branch link to test the class 230 train within range of servicing facilities.  The Greenford Branch is the only one signalled and meets the criteria.Ealing had no hand it this as it was planned by GWR and Network rail and the Rail delivery authority. TfL and Ealing were simply notified.

You also need to find far,far cleaner ways of producing lithium and 'clean' nickle. Their production is incredibly polluting and simply moving our pollution into other countries is no solution
