It's gone haywire. I know 3 people who are all fully vaccinated ( one 4 times) and who have for other reasons been in isolation and yet somehow have contracted this current strain with no contact for weeks. Now it's apparently airborne and can be caught from a distance. Not that this has been clearly conveyed to us great unwashed of late.I do think they have dropped all the restrictions too quickly without being steady and seeing what happens given it takes around 3 weeks for any significant trend to filter through.Ukraine crisis has taken all the attention away but the big worry is that this strain may be mild but the next one - and there will be more than one may be as virulent but far more aggressive.Fact is we just don't know.  Prudence and caution should be the order of the moment.Saddest bit is just how cavalier and irresponsible so many of the public at large are.  No common sense or consideration for others, very much "I'm alright Jack".It underlines just why we have to have rules and laws. Common Sense and responsibility are in short supply. It's been like that for far too long and the Mayor's boasts of enforcement on Public Transport is pure fantasy. Everyone using Bus and Tubes who do comply see it every time right through the past 2 years. Yet he bleats on and on about it being safe to use.He of course, only uses it for photoshoots and soundbites and usually gets driven to a stop or two before the intended venue. And his flunkies make sure that BTP and LU staff do a "sweep" in advance. And there we all are worried about parties. The whole lot are as bad as each other and full of words with no substance.

Superdrug has decided to unilaterally stop supplying the free Covid tests even though it is in the NHS scheme and it appears in the NHS system for ordering them. Paul Richard James, this has nothing to do with hoarding tests, Superdrug has just decided not to supply them any more. What is more if you raise it with customer services they say it will take five working days to get back to you with an answer about whether they will have any more or not the pharmacist has no idea what is goin on just saying that their supplier is not providing any so they won't have any, and unlike most other pharmacies they say they have to get everything from their one tied supplier so they make no effort to source things from other suppliers. I wonder how this reflects their ability to deliver anything that you go to their pharmacy for that their one and only suppler is short of, or decides not to source to the pharmacies? basically, Superdrug is not a good bet if you need anything, it has only one supplier for its pharmacy products and the attitude is appalling. No doubt it is getting money at a corporate level for still officially being in this NHS scheme, so if you want anything go elsewhere, there are no guarantees or even best-effort at Superdrug in Ealing Broadway. Indifferent, and five days for customer services to respond if you have any sort of queryAnd as for the sign off from customer services, with its anonymous first name, no ownership of the query, no contact telephone number, no named contact for follow on, not even an e-mail, "Have a lovely evening and if you need anything else, please get back in touch", i.e. F Off and die!
