Black Horse, Oldfield Lane, Greenford - Closure?

Today I have received the following information from CAMRAPossible Closure of the BLACK HORSE PUBLIC HOUSE – OLDFIELD LANE NORTH GREENFORDOn Friday 11th March there will be a public meeting at the pub to discuss ways to save the pub from being sold off and developed into more flats. The Pub is opposite Greenford Quay’s development and sits on the canal. The meeting starts at 19:00, but please arrive at 18:30

Thanks for that. I'll have to get my wife to give me a lift, I hope! The Black Horse and the Bridge are my two favourites but I have to make do with the Kent and the Village Inn down Pitshanger Lane.

There has been no more news that I have heard since the earlier categoric denial from Fullers. Would be a perfect evening to pay it a visit!

Has anyone heard about what is happening to the Black Horse perchance? For many years it was a good lunchtime pub, but since retiring I haven't been there for a long time. Thanks!

Seems like they are ( the staff) running it into the ground.Someone I know wanted to book a birthday function, however there were so many obstacles I think they will go elsewhere

Nothing surprises me. Fullers are now, in effect, a property company since they offloaded the brewery.
