Christmas Trees

If you’re looking to buy a real one this year then look no further than Steve in The Conservative Club car park where St Mary’s meets South Ealing Road.I don’t normally buy a real one but thought I would this year so dipped in first thing this morning. The man was an absolute Gentleman and I believe the prices very competitive Merry Christmas to y’all

Going to choose the Christmas tree is one of the great traditions!  Getting away from the totally consumerist just click and collect rush and making the time to slow down and share the traditions together is important and more enjoyable.  Looking after it so it doesn't drop needles too soon, dressing it together and then finally taking it to a collection point after Twelfth Night extends the Christmas experience and is a good way to get out for a walk. The slow family procession taking the Christmas tree back to the park across the zebra crossing is a picture I wish I'd had my camera ready for.

The chap at The Royal on Boston Road is doing a roaring trade. It's lovely to watch families with their trees wending their way home.

Big difference between a Conservative club ( which is far more like a Working mens club or a Northern style social club) and the political party.And there's been a Xmas tree vendor there on the car park site for near 50 years
