Ealing Council Update

on November 2nd I contacted the Council asking for my emails via a Subject Access Request , the rules normally give the council 1 calendar month to comply. The council have now informed me that they need 3 months to complete this every simple task considering I have a remote hearing on Thursday i am unable to present the  court my evidence , do you think its acceptable that the council can give themselves more than 3 calendar months to complete such a straightforward request especially when the evidence is required for a court case ?

Any idea how many/what percentage of Council employees are currently "Working from home"?It was bad enough when they were "Working from work".  😂Nearly every time I have phoned, and miraculously somehow got through, an individual would invariably be, "On a course/training", "On Leave", "Off ill", or "Not at their desk".

Aren’t all our council officers dossing about at home?  A “corporate decision”, apparently. Who decided that should happen?  When was it put to the Cabinet?  Shall we ask the Leader, Mason? No. He invites us to put our concerns to him.  Then ignores us.  That is the character of the man.  It is Ealing’s misfortune to have such a man as Leader.  Accountability means nothing in this rottenest of Boroughs.

If you present the Councils response  ( which is, presumably in writing or an addressed email) then that places the onus on them of failure to comply.Its then up to the court to decide what to do about it. Surely?

Perhaps, if you get the Judge/Magistrate involved, s/he might just use their clout to rev the Council up?I have no idea how these things work but I imagine if you contact the Clerk of the Court asap with your problem then legal wheels might be put in motion?
