Has Money Run Out for Ealing Broadway Station Works?

It does look a bit odd that the work has slowed down even more outside the station recently. Having seen the award winning stations in east London, our flagship out west is a prince disguised as a frog in comparison. Despite having Labour all over Ealing plus that little twerp Khan, we have got a station that ticks the accessible box but no more. The sheer volume of passengers using it should have made an escalator a no.1 priority.

I vaguely recall, and I am happy to be corrected, that the ownership of parts or all of the "drop off area" are different and more complex than the ownership of the rest of the site/station and that this ownership is where the difficulties lie?

Not on the plans for the area outside the station that a local councillor shared with me last year. The council had put them out with a ridiculously short period in which to register objections. Let's just say that dropping off points were not on their designs for a car free and cyclist designed panorama outside Ealing Broadway station

Is there any chance of a drop off and pick up point being reintroduced and, in their absence, where would people suggest as a safe point to arrange to be collected in the evening when leaving the station?

Any regular user of Ealing Broadway station will tell you the upgrade of the interior is a massive improvement on what was there before.  The exterior on the other hand is a complete debacle and an embarrassment. We were promised originally the work would have been completed at the same time as the rest of the station which itself is years overdue so there is no good reason for this work not to have been done. The explanation given by Peter Mason raises more questions that it answers. Who, for instance, has ever scheduled a project to start in December. To me it looks like they have run out of money, or been deprived of it for political reasons and have had to raid other funding pots to get it done.
