I remember before the car servicing was there Bestway Coaches were there.

Westway own(ed) Hanwell and Mill Hill among other sites. Nissan West London is owned by Renault Nissan directly and are,in effect, a competing dealer to Westway.

Normally no but I needed the catch on the boot changed a few months ago and that's the sort of thing that really needs the manufacturer, IMO.Why are they telling me I have to go Mill Hill when there's a place on Western Avenue? Absolute *******s. They wrote to me again this week inviting me to come and visit them in Outer Mongolia -- sorry, Mill Hill!

Your nearest is now on the Western Avenue in Acton. However, if the car is outside warranty there's normally no need to go anywhee near a main dealer.

I don't know. I was there when mum took the cheque for the sale of the land opposite the yard which Mr Kirby purchased from Billy Smarts and which was garages until the flats were built. I had never seen such a large cheque. I guess it must have been around 1965 and the cheque was for £18,000!

Wonderful place. Originally Kirby's Yard. my mother was the site administrator for years collecting the rents and dealing with the petrol and Diesel accounts. I remember the Acord Anodising Company and Jones the Car Body Shop.I used to pop in from school (Oaklands) and see her for lunch on Fridays which invariably came from Vic's at the Studley Grange Fish Bar.

I was amazed that it stayed open at all. Ripe for an extension to the adjacent new development. It's a large site stretching all the way back to, what was, Cambridge Yard.
