I find stock control at M&S in Ealing to be a bit hit and miss.

I bought basil from there which I have in a pot on the kitchen window. They had a good selection of herbs when I was there, you could have been unlucky. There is always Waitrose in west Ealing

Thank you all for your responses. Are we sure about M&S? I did try there but couldn't find any. They may have sold out of course.

You could try West Ealing, there are several shops selling fresh herbs. Sorry not sure about Ealing Broadway.
