Warning for anyone parking in Mattock Lane

Hi All.I parked in Mattock Lane last week, whilst going to get my Covid-19 vaccine.Despite paying for parking using the "PayByPhone" app, I still received a parking ticket - nice!It seems that the Mattock Lane parking location hasn't been setup correctly in the app, as the location ID doesn't match what is printed on the signposts at the side of the parking bays.If you park in Mattock Lane and use the app regularly to pay, be sure to type in the location code 37060, don't use the map view to select the parking zone.I've appealed the ticket, but this has been rejected, with the council saying it is my fault.Hope this helps anyone else out that uses the PayByPhone app.. Whatever you do - always type in the location code shown by the parking bays, it seems their "map view" is unreliable!

Yes check with Richard. 99% certain the independent appeals panel will overturn. Of course you risk then paying the full fine if not successfully. That’s what the ****** Council hope will scare you!

Contact your local councillors and the ward councillors for Mattock Lane.A great many tickets are being issued incorrectly in this Borough and the policy is to dig in unless the complainant is persistent and has evidence.Don't give up but do make sure you have printouts of everything and pictures if necessary.

There is a helpful chap who often helps with these sorts of bureacratic parking problems who sometimes posts here but perhaps more often on the Chiswick website - Richard Jennings.  His email used to be parking10@rjen.me.uk  Why not try him for his advice?

That’s standard practice for the council to reject your claim.Do NOT leave it at that, take it to the arbitrator.You paid (keep all evidence), that is precisely what they rely on, people just coughing up
