Eric Leach tells us that he had his 2nd Pfizer Jab yesterday at Ealing Town Hall. Good for him. My husband at 82 will mark 12 weeks tomorrow for his 2nd Pfizer. Our surgery, when we chased them up thought maybe in a couple of weeks time.,

Thankfully it is very few and a little action gets that put right very swiftly....if only that applied to other facets.Shows what a can do attitude can achieve when it's everyone pulling in the same direction. And when it goes a little awry offering suggestions or help.

I agree, Raymond. Just saying that one or two people will slip through the net given the size of this project.

That was more a generalisation of day to day experiences.I think the actual vaccination program has been pretty excellent.Particularly at the actual locations. Staff and volunteers are superb.

I didn't have to nag or persist. This is a massive logistical exercise and there will be mistakes.Do nag, if necessary, though!
Susan Kelly ● 184d
Sadly, people have to nag and persist. Others do and get more than they ought but that has become the norm.Patience and politeness no longer gets reciprocated. But glad you have had both jabs.
Raymond Havelock ● 184d
Raymond. Yes thank you. Both husband ( on his 13th week at 82) and I got our second jabs Wed 14 Apl. At E.Town Hall. But only, in my husband’s case by us nagging our surgery.

Well done the NHS.and the local government volunteers processing the second virus jab at Ealing Town Hall on Wednesday.

No shortage of the Pfizer jab tonight. Taken aback by the very nice nurse telling me that they get through 800 people a day.

Thanks Peter..E2 will be ideal for me.Perhaps I may be able to celebrate at an outside table at a Pitshanger Lane coffee shop and make a day of it!

Pleased to hear that you have both been sorted. Yes... the Temple Pharmacy...booked via 119 from Heston! That was the nearest location to me offered. Now which E bus goes down Pitshanger Lane from the Broadway?

Husband had his 2nd Pfizer jab yesterday. Ealing TH. Along with me ( me after 10 weeks).12 weeks 5 days after the 1st. Better late than never. Pitshanger Lane, assume you mean Temple Pharmacy 2 minutes away from me.

Hopefully Bettina's husband's 2nd jab has been sorted.I will be getting my 2nd AstraZ jab this Sunday 18th...exactly 12 weeks after the first..and 2 days before my 82nd!The venue: Pitshanger Lane.

'If you go past 12 weeks there is a risk that you may have to start all over again.Particularly for those over 70.'I have heard no mention of this idea. Where's it coming from? I can see no reason you would have to 'start all over again'.

I'm there Thursday morning too, Peter. I'd give you a wave if I knew what you looked like.
Susan Kelly ● 189d
Had my first one on 28th January. The GP contacted me today saying book the 2nd one which will be this Thursday at Ealing Town hall. I'm hoping Bellend and crew won't have sold it to a developer by then!

A friend who had Pfizer was told her second would be in 12-15 weeks, rather than the 10-12 I was told.

Raymond is quite right - the NHS will NOT mix Pfizer and Astra Zenica jabs in the general population. I accompanied my mother to her 2nd Pfizer jab at Ealing Town Hall 10 days ago and 4 separate people asked her to confirm that her previous jab had also been Pfizer. There's no shortage of Pfizer available for 2nd jabs - from what has been said here, Bettina's husband has been let down by someone at his GP surgery and immediate action is needed to avoid him being out of time on his follow-up vaccination. Good luck!

For my first Pfizer jab at Ealing TH I was phoned by my GP, for the 2nd I was phoned by reception at the GPs and offered a choice of dates.
Fred Hunt ● 191d
I got the text from my GP today, Bettina, and am booked in for next Thursday at Ealing Town Hall. 11 weeks and 1 day after the first.
Susan Kelly ● 191d
That's not correct. If you had a Pfizer jab you will get one. They are not being currently mixed contrary to reports about the possibilitiesI've just taken an 80 yr old to Ealing Town Hall who has just had her Pfizer jab. Her GP texted her to book last week and the appointment was today.Your 2nd vaccine should have been automatically allocated even if you pre date when the system altered to include the second date at the time of the first jab.You need to call 119 and be specific. Not go by hearsay. or get back to your GP and be firm about this.
Raymond Havelock ● 191d
Everyone I know who booked via 119 has had the AZ jab. We understand that there is a shortage of the Pfizer jab so we have to wait.
Bettina Margaret Thwaite ● 191d
Yes. don't wait for your GP practice. Some are very good and some are awful. If you are at 9 to 10 weeks you should have a 10 -14 day invite for an appointment. If you go past 12 weeks there is a risk that you may have to start all over again.Particularly for those over 70.So call 119.
