Our beloved leader gets to build his Gotham City lookalike on the site of the Stirling Road dump. Don't get too excited if you're on the council housing list, you won't be able to afford one.

I wonder how the local Labour MP Rupa Huq is feeling given that the new monstrosity will overshadow her house in the posher part of the area? I can feel a referral to someone in Parliament coming up!

I suppose on the plus side this story at least admits these new builds are rubbish.The Perceval House planning committee last night was laughable. Councillors dismissing the loss of light for neighbouring properties as not important. I bet they’d be up in arms if someone blocked the natural light to their homes.And these people are supposed to represent residents...

The structural engineer does give the assurance that the buildings would be sound but there is something about them, not sure what, that I don't quite trust. I don't think legally you would be obliged to let residents of the other buildings in but in a situation for example in which they were in imminent danger of being eaten, you would be morally obliged to admit them.

I think there has to be a real concern that the towers made of recycled wood and garden waste could be blown down. It I was buying a flat it would be the one made of bricks. If this were to happen would I be obligated to allow residents of the other blocks to move in with me?
