Ealing Parking Services / Tarranto

Has anyone else had this issue?Previously I paid on line but got a message that there hd been an issue with taking the fee. So I tried again - same message.Tried again - once more same message.Then checked my bank account and three lots of payment had been taken.Nightmare starts - can't get hold of anyone, nobody calls back, emails unresponded to.PCN's start arriving.Had to go to the Civic Centre and got my overcharges back with reason "car Reg is quite new and not on system yet".Despite appeal the PCN's not revoked - furious!!Fast forward a year. Renewal time for car.Guess what? Yep £100.00 renewal taken but "problem with payment" message and I cannot get hold of anyone.Last thing I want to do is attempt to visit civic centre - is it even open???Such a poor Council we have.No parties in a brewery for them

A quick postscript - we just received a reminder to update our permit in an email from Taranto. It was two months late. Luckily, based on previous bad experiences we are in the habit of setting our own reminder for renewal and had already got the new permit but, if we are not the only ones to have received a late reminder, there may be others who have been caught out.

Hi I had this issue today, took two payments but I did manage to call 020 8825 6677 select option 3 and leave a message, it does say they will call back within three working days but I received a call one hour later. Our permit was sorted and a refund is on its way. Hope this helps.

Note that whilst they have hurriedly removed road signs that were illegal, complainants are being told that they have not abided by the Highway Code.In fact these signs are not in the Highway Code nor validated by the Highways agency or the DfT.Nor do existing signs comply with HA regulatory guidelines. All of which is easy to find online.  No plate with restriction details. No statutory mandatory signs in a forward location of the restriction. No clear signage as to the direction of the restrictions or alternative route.People are paying simply because the rejection of any representation ( which is also questionable by the imposed printed restrictions on even objecting ) is actually quoting a Publication that clearly does NOT have these now removed signs.Anyone who has paid must complain as they have also been hoodwinked.So if they are so keen to use the Highway Code to enforce, then Cyclists who fail to comply with road regulations that ARE in the Highway Code, are also committing the same level of offence so should also be prosecuted.The Law is supposed to be for all, not selective.

Money making scam to increase revenue. Ealing being one of those Councils enjoying the fruits of fleecing the motorist Parking fines, failure to comply with motoring signs or even the newly introduced LTN'S.. bring it on the more fines they issue the more money they get.. don't be fouled.

Be aware that PCN charges have been increased in Ealing now. It could get very expensive for anyone in this situation.

We've had problems as well but never to the point of being billed three times. My recollection is that we eventually managed to successfully pay by switching browsers away from the one we normally use - Chrome.Shocking that your appeal was rejected in these circumstances - did you take it to the adjudicator.
