People in H&F are coming to Ealing to be vaccinated. My wife does unpaid care work there and has just had her invite to either Ealing CP house or Wembley. Lot's of availability so going tomorrow. So well done H&F. All the same, an unexpected surprise. So it can't be capacity of Ealing is lagging. More likely communication? As for " We haven't got it" How do you know? How do you know you are not a carrier? None of us do unless tested daily.Even with a jab, Caution and prudence will have to be top priority for a good while yet.TB, Diphtheria and so many diseases that barely exist now were eradicated by the slum clearances of very dense dwellings, which was already happening before the second world war. Hi-Rise dwellings, a radical idea post war, backfired more than succeeded and created a new wave of social issues and a return to overcrowding. Then that receded as that policy reversed. But now we have policies to overdensify and plans lodged left, right and centre. It's a form of poverty in a different wrapping. As this episode unravels and reveals where disease manifests most, one would expect that a blanket moratorium be imposed on any overdense, communal and hi rise developments, anywhere until a full enquiry on future safeguarding of public health and well being is carried out.
