Hanwell couple accused of murder remain free
Don't normally like posting links to Daily Mail articles but this one shocked me.
The pair may of course be innocent but the bigger issue this raises is that if extradition to India is seen as automatically being a breach of a person's human rights, this country has become a sanctuary for people from there who have committed serious crimes including alleged child murderers.
There may be a good reason why Scotland Yard are not investigating but the government should be asking the Indian government for assurances about the protection of the accuseds' human right which they probably would have provided as a matter of course anyway.
