How can we trust a deceptive local authority?

So we now hear that after several weeks of  Ealing Council stating that CPZ enforcement will remain in force,including car park charges now they say "actually we have not been enforcing CPZs but just where obstructions occur"So why could that have not been stated earlier?  Nothing wrong with that.But in actuality they lied to their ratepayers and residents and businesses. They lied to all those who have been worried overtime they go and do someones shopping who is isolated.They lied to all those who paid to park while doing errands elderly for neighbours out of their good human nature.  They created unnecessary angst for those doing their bit in the safest possible way.So what else do they mislead or lie about?How can anyone trust such tactics when a rational and truthful explanation would have been perfectly adequate and actually more helpful?Far too much of this going on in Councils and Govt.Clearly using Covid 19 as a smokescreen using peoples natural focus on the issue to push other things through on the back of it.

This regime at LBE is very entrenched now and they of course know it, it will be quite difficult to kick them out. Meanwhile, I ask (I think my fifth request on here now), would someone who voted Labour in the last locals please come on here and justify LBE's various antics? There are still zero responses so far to this very reasonable request.I thank you.

This forum if full of complaints about the way the Planning Department operates. I and my neighbours have bad experiences going back almost 30 years.  (They concerned the infamous Royal Crimea Guest House.)  We made formal complaints, but the complaints procedure is even more corrupt.  It is headed, at Stage Three, by Najsarek.  How Hajsarek gained employment with Ealing Council was a scandal revealed in the national press on June 30 2016 soon after he was appointed:  he had taken legal action to prevent his behaviour in his previous appointment with Bolton becoming known. Not what you would call "full disclosure". My earlier attempts to get Bell to comment were ignored.  I shall be trying again next week.  Ealing Council is indeed “THE FISH THAT ROTS FROM BOTH ITS HEADS”.

Two things I know Ealing Council lie about are public consultation and transparency in planning.Under Julian Bell Paul Najaserak who was appointed because of his 30 personal relationships with Acton Labour councillors Kate Crawford and Yvonne Johnson rather than any competitive recruitment, has conducted public consultations which have had an average of 350 responses from a population of 350,000 people.Attendance at planning meetings are strictly controlled to prevent opposition to developers fund Lucy Taylor frequent attendance at their events. They excluded all social housing tenants from the planning meeting of 20 November 2019 which allowed the racist Labour councillor Daniel Crawford to lie unchallenged that they wanted their homes demolished.Control of parking generates huge revenues for all local authorities but Ealing Council is making money by being racist and corrupt.

Mr Havelock, your phrase (”a genuine non- political based council run for the local council tax payers”) is just what a local council should be.  Sadly, we don’t have one in Ealing.As to “gravy train executives “, from my earlier comment, you will see I regard CEO Najsarek as a particularly disgraceful example, a classic case of a CEO leaping from one post to another with his reputation collapsing behind him. What about my local councillors?  What local issues is councillor Sabiers tweeting about?  High-rise development that is disfiguring the skyline, the town hall's conversion into a grand hotel?  No.  It’s all about a Mr Cummings.  Not sure what he has to do with Ealing.  In any case, I thought he was in the House of Lords for giving us Brexit and humiliating the Islamo-Labour Party.

I suspect that it will be the same people 'depoliticised' Look at how many well intentioned campaign groups end up being politicised or part funded by organisations with a political slant.But a genuine non- political based council run for the local council tax payers and not for the Mayor of London or development corporations would be a far better thing.But it would have to flush out more than the bunch of elected councillors, Political and gravy train executives who thrive on careers built on connections and incompetence need to be cleared away or made to understand they are servants of the public / resident tax payers and not their career prospect connections .It simply won't happen.

I am a staunch advocate of No Politics in Local Council and have mentioned Epsom & Ewell numerous times on here as the model to follow, but it never gains traction.I don't understand, it should be very straightforward for all the Residents Associations to band together and each put forward Candidates? Unseating BellEnd & Co should be easy?"Epsom and Ewell is one of the few councils dominated by a group not linked to a national political party. Epsom and Ewell Residents Association has dominated the council since the foundation of the borough. (in 1937!)Imagine how utterly WONDERFUL Ealing/Acton would be under such stewardship!  👍

How can we trust a deceptive local authority?We can’t.  What else do they lie about? See my post below. “The Council's Corrupted Complaints Procedure”.  A different matter.  The same problem.  I outlined a dishonest formula officers use to protect colleagues.  I copied it to EVERY councillor to see whether even one would show interest.  So far: none.  They may be dealing with constituents’ problems at present so let’s give them time. But this is the problem: Council officers are free to conduct themselves as they will – including lying to protect senior colleagues – in the certain knowledge that our elected representatives will turn a blind eye.  The corrupt understanding is evident at the top.  CEO Najsarek gained employment here by taking legal action to prevent his behaviour in his previous employment becoming knowledge.  What was that other than deceit?  When asked what he knew about it, Bell ignored the correspondence, no doubt happy to have such a man as CEO with whom who could enjoy the same no-case-to-answer relationship as he did with the previous CEO.

There should be no place in local government administration for party politics. Otherwise councils - and neighbourhoods - are haunted by jumped up barrow boys with aspirations beyond their abilities.

Could not care what party runs the place but do care whether they are fit and able to do so.Clearly lying and  deception does not fit that category and they should be fully investigated.But as we are seeing, is any politician, scientific advisor, NHS administrator or person in authority in this country capable of being open and honest or able ?

Most know that you can't trust this regime.  At all.Time and again they have been exposed, and yet people still keep voting them back in.If the local Conservatives weren't so utterly useless they'd have investigated & analysed, found out how local Labour keeps pulling it off, and put a spanner in their works.
