Garages to be demolished, changed to storage facilities - Overdale Road, Northfields.

Local affected residents may wish to watch this like a hawk.Time and again, what land owners say to residents about what they're intending to do, and what they actually end up doing, are two vastly different things.This strip of dirt is worth a small fortune for housing development, or maybe even squeeze in a Tower?You don't make much money out of "storage facilities", so draw your own conclusions folks.Be vigilant.   😉

A lot more is getting through as just yellow signs, they don't seem to write to the residents.Am surprised there are no stickers in windows like ''no to Reynard Mills, no To The Towers''.it's possible the owners don't know but they will regret not contesting it once the diggers arrive.

You have to watch what is given permission for and what is actually built as well - they don't always...

Council Leader Julian Bell and the Labour run council got rid of planning notification letters in the summer of 2015. Perhaps they think it is more important for their egos to endear themselves to developers, rather than faithfully serve the people and residents of the borough. This includes keeping them informed. So long as they, i.e. Julian Bell and his councillors, can look virtuous about their own disingenuous selves.

I see that there is now a yellow notice outside.  That certainly wasn't there several weeks ago when I managed to locate this and walked past.  It is a whole load of lock up garages next to a working garage tucked away behind all the houses in a residential street.  I wonder how many people in the street have noticed considering the lack of notice?  How many have been written to by the Council.  Or don't they do that any more?  I don't think they do - and local newspapers - what are they?
