Gunnersbury is a large park.  And not terribly accessible unless very fit or able.Policies of overdensification, poky flats and so on mean those people simply have to rely on parks and travel to them. Many older people who need exercise, especially now rely on cars to get to parks. It's not rocket science but the car is currently the safest way to move around in isolation. The bus is too risky.I think closing the park's car park is not a wise decision. It should remain open for over 60s who visit alone. The wisdom of closing the from gates of Walpole Park to suit the elite involved with the Manor is also very harmful to this with accessibility issues.Caring ealing Council have not lifted a finger on that for months despite complaints from many elderly and mobility challenged. The appalling state of pavements in South Ealing and bit's of Brentford makes it really tough for elderly to even take a short walk around the block and no one, young or old, wants to risk a fall and a visit to A&E at the present time.Uncut grass is also a hazard in parks now as it it full of twigs and detritus that cannot be seen. As well as propagating stinging plants, ticks and irritant inflicting insects  Not safe for Urban strolls and kids playing. If people cannot abide by basic common sense rules on distancing then they need to be policed in a simple way.Just like in swimming pools. Marshall's or keepers need no more than a whistle. And there seems to be enough rather bored police wandering around so maybe a police presence in Parks to assist volunteers who can enforce basic common sense with a light touch. As simple as a whistle and a few posters.
