Then, of course, the remain supporters had every opportunity to reject the Tory proposals to observe the referendum result by simply voting for those parties who wanted to either simply reject the referendum or hold a second one. Remain supporters and the 'remain' parties had almost three and a half years to build a compelling case with the electorate for either of these options.
The simple fact is that there was and remains a Tory majority of 40 seats meaning that, as promised, we have now started the process of withdrawl from the EU.
Of course, the 'normal' remain bleating about an unfair voting system ensued, probably from the same apathetic bunch who filed to transform our voting system when given the opportunity to do so in 2011, who failed to mobilise in adequate numbers to get remain supporting candidates elected in 2017 or 2019 or who, more likely, simply delight in being the 'victims' every time that democracy 'goes against them'.
Sorry, we're not going to keep voting until we get the result that the remainers want.
We've left, GET OVER IT!
