road repairs again! S Ealing Rd & Popes lane

more repairs scheduled for 2w in January!!couldn't they install a zip?

I don't think that's the case here though, just back after the Christmas break on a programme of works that was pre-signalled would last well into 2020.

This happens every year, or have you not noticed that between January and the end of March, the number of road works everywhere increases. I wonder if it might have something to do with local authority highways departments using up the reserved money in their budgets.They budgeted  year begins in April and if the money is not used it will probably be shaved off the next budget.

One hell of a job replacing the Victorian cast-iron gas mains as there is both the 'main' pipe and all of the services pipes to the properties.I saw one part of the pipe that they removed near South Ealing tube and it looked like a worn tea bag there were so many tiny holes in it.

I think the ones south of the Popes Lane junction are scheduled for 4-5 months. Which probably means 8 or 9.

2 weeks, pah! The sign outside South Ealing Station, and referring to the road north from there says TEN WEEKS :-(
