You are under a major misconception if you believe Brexit will some how be over if there is decisive Conservative victory. The agreement that Boris Johnson has obtained is just the broad outline of how we handle withdrawal. The real meaning of what Brexit actually is will only become apparent through the years of negotiations that will then become necessary. The lowest estimate that has been given by anyone who has the most rudimentary understanding of how trade talks work is around five years. Each stage of these will be highly controversial and divisive and more governments are likely to fall and more elections will be called as we grind our way through them. You need to work on the assumption that Brexit will dominate political life for the next decade at least.Johnson will come up against exactly the same problems that Theresa May experienced with Brexit in that the extreme wing of his party will not brook any compromise and prefer a crash out Brexit. So for example when it becomes apparent that it is impractical to exclude the EU fisheries fleet from British waters the negotiations will hit another log jam and it won't be possible any arrangement through parliament. If what bothers you is that Brexit is dragging on then the quickest way for us to be able to stop talking about it is the election of a coalition government that holds a second referendum. That sadly looks like a distant prospect even though every poll suggests the majority of the country would now prefer to remain in the EU.
