New training thread!! (Pictures)

Gosh, haven't we done well! Pictures galore!!Just remember we didn't have a clue a few months ago?But thanks to our professors..we've made progrerss. Now we've learnt how to post pictures from cyberspace..whether or not we are using IE (Internet Explorer) or some other Browser like MF (Mozilla Firebox) We have learnt how to use the img scr= (plus the two vv thingies)...which is like a carrier for transferring pictures from one place to another.I've described in my amateurish way to some people what BROWSERS are.Imagine you are moving into a new house..I tell them..the kitchen is just a shell..and you need to install a ready-made kit like MFI..or JOHN Lewis, or Smallbone..which will each have different facilities like dual taps, washer/dryer combined, one kit may have a mangle!! and another might have a  spin dryer. In the same way Internet Explorer is a popular USA kit...but an alternative is Mozilla Firebox (born out of Netscape and AOL??). I believe that there is one called Opera too. They all seem to have different features..and interestingly Peter has just had installed MF so it seems..and on another thread he compliments it's (MF's)  speed. There are other goodies too.Perhaps this subject can be discussed on Peter'e new Topic/thread.So..in seaching Cyberspace....we find pictures we like or need...do a right click etc etc and look for the jpg at the end of the picture address(THE URL)...and copy and taste onto the reply screen..and add the img src= etc.The most valuable addition to these feats though..has been the possibility of using one "own" picture..the ones you have perhaps downloaded from your camera onto MY PICTURES..or that you have transferred from cyberspace to your MY PICTURES. Several of us are now using the Internet Hosting facility IMGHOSTINGwhich enables one to "UPLOAD" any picture onto your own PRIVATE GALLERY(album)..before despatching the pictures either to this Forum ..or to e-bay etc etc.  IMGHOSTING is free up to point..after which you pay £7? for 6 months. There are other hosting services too..including fotopic etc.I've found that its necessary to reduce the size of some of the photos in MY PICTURES.  I locate the picture and bring it up on screen..and by right-clicking I find what size it is. Many from my Canon Ixus 500 camera..are shown to be 1800 x900 for example. With the Photo shop I have..I go to VIEW, click RESIZE, and them reduced to size by pressing  on an arrow. When the size reaches say 750 x ?..I save it..and then use it to post to IMG HOSTING..who only accept these modest sizes. But the Waitrose picture came out ok ..didn't it..or was it still too large!Graham wanted help with his APPLE MAC computer  ..so maybe someone can give him advice about what he has to do to post Pictures...and become a PP(Picture Poster)!Anyone else need help with Picture postings..or any questions?
