Stop the towers

Has anyone had any updates on this campaign or does anyone know the current status of the applications?

Mount Anvil, CHG and Ealing Council who provide the cash as well as planning cannot take on board any lessons because the Department of Housing, Communities and Local Government will probably not publish until the enquiry is completed in 2022.Because of his ruling position in London Planning I was going to complain about Cllr Dan Crawford manipulating Ealing Council to get FPPG members excluded from the 20 Nov planning meeting but decided it was a waste of time. I just wrote to the Housing Ombudsman who refused to investigate Ealing Council excluding social housing tenants opposed to having their say at public meetings.I have experienced Khan's handling of questions on the future of London. Ealing Council however have broken his staff records because they have refused to reply to me since 23 October 2019.

To describe it as two tower blocks is to rather understate the true horror of what is proposed.https://www.hastingsroadwestealing.co.uk/layout-designThe Hastings Road proposal alone consists of 3 storeys, 5 storeys, 8 storeys, 11 storeys, and a whopping 25 storeys!How the hell do you cram all of that into what is the relatively tiny lot currently occupied by Majestic Wine and Halfords?And don't be misled by the artists impressions on that web site BTW.  They are deliberately and disingenuously drawn to minimise the bulk compared to the surrounding environment.

Far from it, I am well aware of the etymology of the term troll, and used it contextually.The ignorance displayed is not mine and those who seek to elicit an emotional response on such matters should look far closer to home.

Please do calm down a little. I am unsure what your interpretation of the word “troll” is but the suggestion based on your rather aggressive response is one of ignorance.We have a huge housing shortage. We need to build properties quickly. Please be as gracious as to enter into an educated discussion and respect opinions rather than angrily rant in a personal manner.

I hope the Persons responsible for these Towers,take on boardlessons learned from the Grenfell Tower Fire,we should take Fire Safety for all Tower Building as a must at planning stage,for Means of Escape,Access,inbuilt Fire Resistance,etcand regular inspections to maintain same.

Agree, the plans are for two tower blocks one of which proposes to be 'car free' as in no parking but obviously they can't ban people owning cars.Two high rise towers next to each other would put a massive strain on local services and is not family friendly accommodation.

Good grief. no one is blocking affordable housing (do you have a guarantee that a single unit in these monstrosities will be affordable)?Do you have no sensitivity to the area in which they are proposed?Have you actually looked at the plans?You need to look at neighbouring boroughs who are managing to meet or exceed their affordable housing targets while still building on a human scale.Would you want to raise a family on the 24th floor of a tower block with zero public amenity space?Please answer these questions or troll somewhere else.

They will all be Granted, regardless of height & density and lack of supporting infrastructure, by our lovely, community caring and oh so informed Planning Committee.I love Democracy.That is all.
