Rory Stewart for Mayor

It is hard not to like Rory Stewart and he has been a beacon of integrity at a time when that has been sorely lacking across the political spectrum. He would probably make a good Mayor but Sadiq Khan isn't a bad one and it would please Donald Trump if he were to lose. Everyone's guiding principle should be that if the Donald wants it to happen then you should oppose it.

Er, noEx Government asset who made a complete hash of things in the middle east. He's just going to split the vote. Plus he's a Blairite. Might as well be a Nazi for the majority of sane Londoners. The Tories aren't even bothering with this election...not backing Bailey at all. They're happy to let London burn for a bit and bowl in after this election with zero effort as the head of the Met Police and Terrorist brief Khan walks off to work for CitiBank or the EU.

I was wondering why Rory Stewart was making such a huge effort to come across so sane/likeable at the time of the Tory leadership content.Now we know. Usual Tory self interest.

Khan is also behind the plan allowing Ealing Council to get away with slinging up all these hideous towers in the borough under the pretence of ‘affordable housing’.At least if Stewart is independent it will take the political posturing out of London’s mayoralty.
