Conrol Parking Permit Charges

Has any one been overcharged for their annual resident parking permit?My permit was quoted as being reduced from £83 to £75 due to my car being low admission vehicle. I went onto their new web site Tarantopermits to renew my permit and was charged an additional £50 for an additional vehicle (no details given by them) that I am supposed to have. I Tried contacting them by phone and was told by a recorded message to use the website I obtained there phone number from. I then emailed them and received a auto reply stating they would get back to me with in 10 days. Two weeks later I'm still waiting. So what should have been a £75 renewal turned out to be a £125 rip off.

Thank you for your advice. The matter has now been sorted and I received an apology and my £50 over payment refunded. The error was caused by me applying for the renew of my permit days before the old one expired. They thought it was an additional vehicle despite having the exact same details.

You should contact your local Councillors.  They should have a way to deal with the contractors.  You can be sure that you will not be the only person with a problem with the parking permit system.  They may already have your car registered.  Hopefully we won't have to change systems every year!  I find these things excruciatingly stressful.  You might first try the search facility on here because somebody may well have already posted with the same problem.
