Join friends of Walpole/Lammas Park if not on Facebook?

Interesting email from Ealing Council:"August & weekly Volunteer gardening at Walpole park Learn about plants, fruit and vegtable growing or just enjoy the experience of being outdoors with like-minded people. No experience necessary. "I am interested, but when you click the link it goes to a Facebook page. Not on FB and don't have any great desire to join.Is there any other way of participating?

Facebook do provide very easy to use tools to set up groups but people need to be very wary of using them because the company doesn't do this for altruistic reasons. I came off Facebook some years ago on the advice of colleagues who have a very good understanding of personal privacy issues. It would be sensible for any group to offer an alternative to Facebook to avoid people having to give their details over unnecessarily.

MarkThe main volunteer sessions are from 10.00 - 12.00 every Thursday. Everyone meets at 10.00 at The Rickyard, so just come along if you're interested.
