Environmental concerns only matter if money can be made from it. The building over Warren Farm negates much of the boasting from Bell and co about tackling climate change.Footballers don’t catch the bus to training, they will be turning up in their high powered cars. Then there’s the thousands of lorry journeys (all diesel powered no doubt) created by the building work.We have yet to have details of the much vaunted ‘community sports facilities’ supposedly included in the plans, but given the relative inaccessibility of Warren Farm most users will have to drive there. From my experience if it as a football venue you couldn’t easily get there by public transport, not that you’d want to with a big bag of kit, balls, etc.Still, I’m sure it’ll look pretty.
