Crackdown on fraud in Ealing

Re the story on the front page of this site. I wonder if the Council will crack down on the individual who apparently claims he needs social housing for his family despite owning a house just round the corner? Fraud on a huge scale!

Assuming you may mean Labour Councillors, perhaps enquire of our local "Opposition" Conservative Party how it might be done, if it can be done?

Leslie corcerning taps. Taps now have a CARTRIDGE. I had a small tap and a cartridge cost £35. I have just had a new cartridge fitted into my bathroom tap cost? ? £99.00.

Yes it definitely was and was the 'family home'.The housing association home was take, ostensibly, because it was easy to adapt to the needs of elderly parents.This from someone earning over £100k p.a. from hos multiple public sector roles - seemingly unable to pay for essential adaptations.

They could start with their contractors.The new ones for the plumbing who "Cannot change a simple tap washer" in Mum's house but are happy to charge the council tax payers for a whole new set of taps and associated plumbing, we told them to get out.The double glazing that never happened, instead a whole new replacement of Single glazing instead, raising the question "where did the double glazing go?".The public are paying for these leeches, they need to be watched made accountable for their actions and why they choose them too.

Fraud aside, what is particularly galling is the known, uncollected council tax (and business rates) that Ealing Council seem incapable of recovering.  Again, laying the blame at alleged circumstances out of their control. It's weird that residents are informed that the (alleged) 'positive aspects' of Ealing are as a direct result of the skilled Council. But the 'bad stuff' is always because of circumstances 'out of the Council's control'.
