A funny thing happened on the way to the sex club

I see that a licencing application has been submitted for a new sex club to replace LA Confidential in the High Street (see news story: New Sex Club Planned For Ealing).The club promises nude dancing in private booths.The company making the application – “Alyzn Ltd” – apparently has three directors. They are named as: Mrs Natasha Ahmed Shaikh, Mr Yash Patel and Mr Yash Suresh Patel.Do any of these people have any past or present connection with Ealing Council?

I've had a further thought about this rather interesting application, which has probably already been thought of by others.IF Mrs Natasha Ahmed Shaikh is a Muslim woman, how would that square with being a Director of a "Sex Club"?!!!

Well, I had a quick shufty at the SPO-UK website, and there are NO named individuals at all, anywhere, nothing. What sort of organisation doesn't have ANY names of its directors/board, staff, members, trustees, whatever on its website?Talk about faceless.  http://www.spouk.org.uk/

Natasha Ahmed-Shaikh appears to be a trustee of “SPO-UK” – a charity which apparently works in Pakistan and the UK. Among other things, SPO-UK professes to have a “…special focus on women”.

What a wonderful story - really enlivens Ealing.  Perhaps Mrs Natasha Ahmed Shaikh harbours a burning desire to be a belly dancer?    Has anyone asked her?

That's very interesting, Mr White.  In the article it states that:If approved, ''Purrrlesque'', will take the space on the High Street vacated by LA Confidential which lost its licence last year following an investigation by the council’s licensing sub-committee panel.So is it possible, or indeed likely, that the aforementioned Mrs Shaikh was a member of the very Licensing Sub-Committe which made the decision to close the place, only for her and some chums to re-open it under a different name a few months later? Am I reading this situation correctly? Or was she absent when the decision was made? It'd be interesting to know!
