New borough motto

Given the state of the streets and the general malaise at 'Bell Towers' do you think it is time for a new borough motto?The current one is: Progress with UnityI was thinking more of Tendimus ad mediocritatem which, roughly translates as "We aspire to (reach) mediocrity".Other suggestions welcome.

'Reversion to Parish Councils might be a good start. 'A better one would be the abolishing of the London mayor and assembly - a totally unnecessary level of government which we happily did without under Thatcher.

Re. council competence.  Truthfully, the rot sets in when political affiliations and associated posturing takes hold.  No local council should be associated with any political party because then the mindless flag waving - metaphorically and physically - starts.  Sight is lost of the pragmatic purpose of local councils. Reversion to Parish Councils might be a good start.
