Closing The North Circular and Thames Water
Is it a coincidence that Thames Water suddenly announce the need to close the North Circular a few days before their financial year end? They do their accounts up to 31 March so expense incurred will go in the current financial year which may give them some kind of tax advantage. There doesn't seem to have any actual burst of a main. If it was only a leak that needed repairing it could have been done over the Easter holidays when disruption would have been reduced. The same thing happened last year at the end of January.Could it be that these road closures are being timed for the benefit of shareholders rather than residents?/
