Question time

So should they rename it Questioable Time. Their panel selection seems to breach neutrality over Brexit.

I complain because it was not advertised locally and it seems from comments here that the BBC do not want a local audience. Rest assured, if invited I would have asked permission to stay up late.

If you don't watch it then I don't see how you can complain about not being in the audience. As it's almost live (few minutes delay), it would be past your bedtime anyway.

It came to St.Barnabas, Pitshanger Lane two or three years ago. Being involved then in local organisations I watched it.Both myself & others were gobsmacked. We recognised no one. Speaking to the cameramen early next morning they explained that most of the audience was bussed in to give it diversity. So there you go. No local connections.

It seems you only get to know it is coming to your area if you watch it. It is past my bed time so I never heard it was coming to Ealing.

Susan generally you have to apply but the story i have heard is of far right people being invited to stir things up a bit. Partly i feel that it has become a bit too antagonistic to make it entertaining.

Yes, I did know. You have to apply via their website rather than be 'invited'.

Momentum people are party activists. The people I have been told about are people involved in far right violence and members of banned groups.

This was about people who are EDL or other extremists invited to the audience by a sympathetic staff member. I have heard this from a couple of different people.

I didnt recognise anyone at all in the Audience. But i get the feeling that several audience members over time have been political plants. In fact several people later exposed as extremists have been in the audience.

Yes it is shown after my bedtime but I would have gone if I could have been in the audience which in Ealing and from the BBC would have the local majority view I deprecate.

I watched some of it and it was the usual waste of time. Sadly not much constructive coming out of it. Sadly Question Time has descended into a bit of a shouting match. To get better political debate i prefer Robert Peston's program. Also some of the people recruited to Question Time are the sort to pour petrol onto the flames of division.
