Letter to Bell re "For the many not the Jew"

Dear Julian Bell,“For the many not the Jew”.  Did you see that on the SKY webpage yesterday?   It seemed rather apt to the present situation in your party.  May I suggest, with that in mind, that instead of attending rallies opposing racism in general, you attend to the particularly virulent strain of it in your own party, anti-semitism, and as the senior representative of the Labour Party in Ealing  apologise to its Jewish Community and also every other resident for it?Yours sincerely,Andrew Farmer

Before 1942 my family name was Jowell, and we lived on the european mainland. Before that year my family history is a big unknown because the RAF did such a good job on the German ability to keep records. My old man was also with the BEF in France at the start of the war, and was captured while rearguard at Dunkirk. He was badly tortured by them. He was also in the Gloucestershire regiment when they were rearguard at Imjin in north Korea, and again he was badly tortured. My grandmother had a role in the east end blitz but has a mental block of the period. My condemnation of both the Nazis and the Israelis is well and truly supported by my family history.My Heritage, like everyone on this planet, started in Africa.

I beg your forgiveness, Dennis. I clearly am a racist.I am a Jew and a Welsh speaker. My ancestors were in this country when the Romans arrived. I confess to you that I sometimes have lingering feelings of resentment towards the newcomer Anglo-Saxons who tried to take away my language and my culture. I hope that you are not an Anglo-Saxon, Dennis. I clearly must atone for these racist feelings. Can you alone forgive me or must I go before a tribunal. In the meantime, in the last year I have been reliably told that I was responsible for 9/11, created Isis, am a valuable part of a world conspiracy led by the Rothschilds and, just to vary the menu, I drink the blood of young Christian children. I clearly deserve all I get.

It would be awesome if every person from the jewish community ALSO condemned the racism within their own ranks. Racism has to be squashed wherever it rears its ugly head, and being a victim of it is not a valid reason for any group to dish it out on others.
