Yeading Roundabout

Bearing in mind no one at the big house is to blame due to the age of the roundabout, How do you reclaim it back for the community. It's blatantly obvious that The roundabout and pedestrian subway was a bad idea, a bad design, and in the wrong place.Thr traffic can be gridlocked regular by the recent bypass adition, and all the traffic to the target roundabout travels at one mile an hour during peak times. The whole setup requires a fingers crossed approach to getting around it. The entire area gets overloaded.The pedestrian subway is given a wide birth by all but the bravest. It has been home to the sickest of crimes and recently two of the more ugly gangs in west london used it as a venue for a mass brawl that saw multiple stabbings. Even cars have been stripped down there.How do you fix it so pedestrians don't have to change underwear if they need to use it at night?.The shops are taking a massive hit because half of the neighbourhood will not use the underpass, or risk being killed on the six lane pedestrian lights on Church Road. Even the local pub closed.

Fill it in with concrete, have the crossings at road level.

Yeah, but this one wasn't our screw up, it's a throw back to the days when we put lead in our petrol. It's a like it and lump it thing, it's not going away. Hence the question. How do you turn those pedestrian subways back to the community? There must be hundred of lights, dozens of cameras, and everyone is still scared every time they use it. What about a pub in the middle of it, or a brothel or whatever. It's killing the neighbourhood. How do you re-label it?
