Heathrow consultation on increased flights

In case any of you have missed this there is a current ‘consultation ‘ on increasing flights by 50% at Heathrow Airport. Yes Consultations are so weighted in favour of the decision that is wanted that they are a joke used as a box ticking exercise by the powers that be. having been involved in the Tram consultation process there was very little scope to actually be listened to

With all the pro-airport junkmail that came through my door recently i never read this in any of them. This is news to me. Before the current flight paths were modified we regularly got our windows rattled from low flying jets. It was a nightmareWith the Heathrow expansion the vast, vast majority said no, and they expanded it anyway. With the people up the Thames in the big house refusing to listen to the people who pay their wages i can tell you that the nightmare is going to come back.

The usual total apathy and disinterest from the denizens of Ealing/Acton will prevail, and then they'll scream blue murder when they realise and have to endure the severe noise impact on what was their previous peaceful quality of life.  All too late by then of course.And yes, the Heathrow Consultation questions are a complete joke, but par for the course from this lot with the usual loaded and biased questions to provide a required and oh so convenient result.

I filled in the questions on the consultation but found its design concerning.This is typical of these Heathrow consultations - IMO they seem weighted to provide the answers required and often don't even appear meaningfuleg any suggestions for how we can encourage the use of low noise planes? As if normal residents would know anything they don't already know!
