Dr Rupa Huq Plays the Race Card

Dr Huq reference to the casual racism of the 70s made me laugh as I loved Jim Davidson. What is not funny is that the anti-Catholic atheistic Marxists like Dr Huq and Jon Trickett who was obviously around in the 1970s are holding a Labour Party organised anti-Brexit rally they have deliberately mislabelled an Anti-Racism Rally. On Wednesday 27th February from 7:30pm till 9:30pm in St Mary’s Church Hall, St Mary’s Road, South Ealing. Eve Turner from the Ealing Trades Union Council will introduce Julian Bell then Steve Hadley of the militant Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers then Nahella Ashraf, another Labour Party member in the Stand Up To Racism organisation. In apparently a Christian church hall this group of sad Remoaners are really creating another strand of @Project Fear by creating racial tension.Dr Huq has tried repeatedly tried to get on any media to fill her own pockets by accusing White people of being racists. It is the well tried tool of her mates like Diane Abbott who earns £200,000 a year from TV appearances. I do hope is Balwinder Rana, spokesperson for West London Stand Up To Racism will be available to answer questions. First I want to know about how much taxpayer’s money is being used to pay these anti-Catholic atheistic Marxists and rent the hall. Second since Jon Trickett, Labour MP for Hemsworth  has confessed that racism is in his DNA does he think all White people should be excluded from the Labour Party or just Yorkshiremen?Rupa Huq would not be allowed in the Independent Group or in any group that prevents racism as it is clear her only plan like her other pal Sadiq Khan is to get re-elected by calling all White people racists, imho

Graham,I think it is "selbsverstandlich" that any outpouring or statement that is propagated directly to the press or in the press by a politician has meanings within meanings. We live in a Post-Truth era where simple spin-doctoring has been augmented by marketing techniques such as brand-management and virtue-signalling.So we need an hook appropriate for the Honourable Stephen Pound M.P. to hang his coat on, and what could be better than Transport, for example? It is a major issue to me for Ealing that the national press has highlighting the fact that the high-speed rail project HS2 will generate noise levels affecting its surrounding areas that will exceed World Health Organisation (WHO) levels, however, were an Ealing M.P. decide to champion transport as an issue I am sure that it would be the excessive prices and low quality of services that the rail operators impose on their customers in a privatised system rather than the impact of dangerously excessive noise levels on residents by HS2. Why? Well, because HS2 would generate unionised employment as the Old Oak Common depot grows, and then there are the opportunities for local contractors in all areas, far too much to lose if this one goes pear-shaped.Anyway, so far of our "tripod" of Ealing Labour M.P.s, as I like to think of them, the Honourable Virendra Sharma M.P. has taken ownership of the silver vote, while Dr. Rupa Huq, M.P. has taken ownership of race, ethnicity and related culture, so I.M.O. its time for the Honourable Stephen Pound M.P. to declare a defining issue!

I am not in disagreement with much that Mr Chadburn writes in his second contribution to this thread and he agrees with me that what provoked Ms Berger’s resignation from the Labour Party was its failure to deal with anti-semitism.It is probably true that right-wing abuse is not highlighted in the press.  Even McDonnell’s erstwhile acolyte, that young scamp Owen Jones, does not mention it in writing of Ms Berger (Guardian 9.2. 19).  But what is the point of pointing out the omission?  How pervasive is it?  Is there a survey or are we talking about an impression?  And how relevant is it to the present situation.  Ms Berger is still receiving abuse.  That was the story.  Little wonder that is what the press reported. #My aim in contributing to this thread was to support Mr Cain’s post which began it.  I approve of his pejorative term “playing the race card” as applied to Huq.  She made an allegation of racist behaviour against Smith.  Smith's error was of minimal significance (an injudicious word with no malign intent) set against the racist allegations being made against Huq's own Party.  This was hypocrisy comparable to criticising a neighbour for not cleaning the stove properly when there are rats running around in her own kitchen.  As to the “anti-racism rally” on 27 February, it is an example of a common trick:  when a specific allegation is made, treat the matter generically and avoid the specific issue; discuss racism in general, not anti-semitism in the Labour Party.  I am wondering what they will sing at the end.  “The Red Flag”, “Die Fahne hoch”, or, in deference to the Christian venue, “Nearer my God to thee” – with a picture of Lenin hoist above the altar, borrowed from John McDonnell.  No one can accuse present Labour of not being an inclusive party.

Mr Chadburn remarks that the press wants only to report anti-semitism within the Labour Party.  Little wonder, after the debate last week!  The Conservative contributors did not make party political capital out of it.  It was left to Labour to eviscerate itself.  It was contrition time.  As to Auschwitz, do forgive my bad taste in mentioning it. Not the kind of thing nice people in Ealing want to be reminded of, especially members of the current Labour Party who have present-day troubles of their own to fret over. Some people of course have not forgotten the Holocaust.  Margaret Hodge has not. Her family memories were one of the most chilling speeches in last week’s debate.  As to Ms Berger, I don’t think it was right-wing hatred that made her leave the Labour Party.  That would hardly have been logical.  The most memorable thing for me in that debate was Ms Berger’s face.  She had throughout an expression of the deepest sorrow. But to return to Huq: first, would she have been absent had it been a debate about “islamophobia”?  Second: I remember her comments reported in the Guardian 31.5.18 when she accused the Tories of institutionalised racism.  There was “a glaring difference”, she said, between how Labour responded to anti-semitism and how the Tories reacted.  Jeremy Corbyn and Labour officials “had taken notably more action.” Mr Corbyn’s own Deputy and many of the party now seem to take a different view!  A pity Huq was not there to hear the truth and learn that the message has changed.  Something more important to do?  Perhaps she was crafting her latest tweet, witless twaddle, her reminiscences about attending pop concerts years ago.  Rupa, dear, we are not interested.

Yes  Antisemitism is disgusting and what is interesting about the Luciana Berger story is that she has suffered abuse from many sources including far right threats (some resulting in Police action). However the press only want to report that within the Labour Party.many people have joined the Labour Party in recent years and many of us want a refreshing agenda to make a fairer society. However there are some extreme left dinosaurs who have joined with their own hate filled agenda. Whether that agenda is against Jews or others this is wrong. Many of us want justice for the Palestinians and peace in the middle east and are against the Israeli Governments extreme policy on settlements and we also believe in protection for Jewish people. There is no contradiction there as we recognise the rights of all involved. In this country today with the brexit debate we have seen the rise of polarised views. I can see the frustration over brexit of many eminently reasonable people. we have seen UKIP get hijacked by the EDL and some hate filled dinosaurs provide a lot of noise with Labour and a bunch of Trump loving Carpetbaggers hold the Tory party to ransom. We are in a mess. The statement about using the Race card is in itself racist!! One could question why an mp is so quick to criticise other when we need calm and a climate of bring us together. As a Labour supporter i applaud the comments of John Major and some other conservatives who have questioned where there Party is going. I am interested in moving this country forward. Tom Watson and John McDonnell are right and i hope they can fix things but with all this division going on we are in great danger of falling out of the EU with no deal. This would be a disaster for many and will plunge many of us into financial and other problems.  The real news of the day is the fact that Politically this country is in great danger. The EU is also in a mess. Just what our Russian friends wanted through their support of Banks, Farage and co.
